Electronic automotive air suspension control system
The aim was to develop remote control of automotive air suspension configuration with mobile devices like iPod/iPad/iPhone, Pocket PC, and various CarPCs. So electronics of air suspension control system (ASC) was designed to fit specific requirements of these devices connection possibilities.
Electronic components are used for manual and automatic control of air pressure in 4 pneumatic elements with 8 valves, compressor motor relay, and some additional actuators with discrete inputs. Software for PC, Pocket PC and iPod/iPad/iPhone capable for remote control of main unit via USB interface and via Bluetooth and Wi-Fi connection.
ASC system features:
- Automatic set up and stabilization of required pressure (it defines the vehicle clearance)
- Flexible tune-up of suspension modes, reaction for external events, f.ex. ignition on/off
- “Game” mode – fully manual control of all pneumatic elements. Play with your car just touching screen buttons
- “Dance” mode. Your car “dances”, following preset program of actions. User easily encodes the list of actions for the car, the same way as composing melodies in Nokia mobile phone. Dances editor is developed right now.
- Additional discrete outputs may be used for controlling various actuators, like door locks etc
- Software supports different languages and skins, also functional commands are read out by human voice.
- Installed software and software are to be updated online.
